6-23-23   COMMENTS
My life is changing for a little over a month.  My youngest daughter, Erin, and her family arrive tonight, Lord willing.  They will be with us until July 18.  They live in Japan right now, and we’ve not seen them in several years.  I write my daily post very early in the morning. I do not see that being compatible with a busy household schedule.  Also, I desperately need my time with them.  I will take a short sabbatical on my posting until July 19.  I would encourage you to continue your reading by going to a Google Search and typing...   rescuechurchofchrist.org  (click on “More” at the top)  and pull from the archives of “Phil’s Thoughts”.  Go back several years and choose a block, or randomly grab one each morning?  Know that I will miss doing this. You are each precious to me!  We shall return, Lord willing!

6-23-23    THOUGHTS

2Chron 29:11   "My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him, to minister to Him, and to be His ministers and burn incense."
Col 4:17 Say to Archippus,
"Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it."
1Tim 4:16   Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.
2Tim 4:5   But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Matt 25:25-28    "And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26  "But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked, lazy slave”
John 15:5    "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:8  "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and [so] prove to be My disciples.”

My Prayer:
O God, help us each to fulfill the purpose for which You planted us in the Church.  May we be sheep that follow and joints which supply effectively.  May Jesus, in our hearts, infect the world we walk in.   Help us to establish good habits and patterns in our lives that will produce growth in all of us, and in the people we meet day to day.  In the name of our Savior,      Amen.
